Positive Displacement Sanitary Pumps

Flux Pumps offers a broad line of sanitary immersion pumps for Food and Beverage Industries. Typical duty includes transfer / unloading from 55 gallon drums and intermediate bulk containers. All pumps are furnished with 316 stainless steel components (stators are offered in either PTFE or Food Grade White NBR). Pump lengths range from 27” to 60” – for drums, totes, and other vessels.

The progressive cavity design is known for low shear and gentle handling of sensitive products. Along with the ability to handle solids in suspension, elevated temperatures, and performance repeatability, the pumps are positive displacement, instantly primed, pulsation-free, take up no floor space, and are lightweight and portable. Models are quiet and can be powered by either electric motors or pneumatic motors and can deliver up to 10 GPM and 120 PSI.

The “3A” certified range includes progressive cavity models with capability of handling thick viscous fluids up to 100,000 CPS. Common fluids include tomato paste, honey, corn syrup, molasses, gel, juice, concentrate, cream, paste, variegates, liquid sugar, salad dressing, mayonnaise, oils, glaze, salsa, wine, barbeque sauce, flavorings, mustard, jam, alcohol, toothpaste, icing, glycerin, syrup, fruit topping, seasoning, chocolate, lard, syrup, batter, shampoo, yogurt, condensed milk, sour cream, hot fudge, ketchup, and more.

The impeller models are ideal for fluids ranging from water-like (50 GPM) up to 1200 CPS like food oils, sauces, flavorings, fragrances, wine, thin condiments, and beverages. All pumps are furnished with Triclamp discharge ports and have very few “wet-end” components to simplify disassembly / reassembly cleaning procedures.

For “baggie-lined” vessels, Flux offers a modified inlet component and for less stringent sanitary requirements, “FDA Compliant” models are also available. In addition, externally mounted units in both vertical and horizontal designs are available.

Microza® Protects Against Water-Borne Contaminants

Conventional water treatment upstream of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis systems can include sand filtration, flocculations, ion exchange resins and cartridge filtration. For a more economical and reliable approach, Pall has developed a compact system that uses Microza Hollow Fiber modules for the replacement of most conventional water treatment steps upstream of reverse osmosis or nanofiltration. The modules are available in Microfiltration or Ultrafiltration grades to meet the application requirements.

Since membrane technology provides a positive barrier, the Microza LGV modules provide a much higher security against waterborne contamination than traditional systems. The hollow fiber membranes have low fouling characteristics and are mechanically strong so that they can be backflushed to ensure stable operation. The quality of the filtered water meets requirements and remains stable even if the raw water quality is variable. The hollow fibers remove oxidized iron and manganese and organic contaminants. They provide exceptional security for microbial contaminants such as molds, cysts and viruses.
