2 D Allegro Biocontainers: One More Step Forward for Pall Biopharmaceuticals in
the single use systems business. We are very pleased to confirm the commercial release
of our 2-D Allegro™ biocontainers. This is a very significant addition to our
product portfolio and process capability.
The demand in the biopharmaceuticals market for single use systems integrating filters
and other devices with biocontainers is increasing at a fast rate. The opportunity
for the Allegro™ product range featuring a better design for process integration
will bring important improvements to users and will give us better flexibility and
success in our single use systems business. We are now able to sell systems which
include biocontainer sizes of 50 mL, 500 mL, 1 L, 5 L, 10 L , 20 L and 50 L.
Summary of key features of the 2 D-Allegro biocontainer components:
- Improved drainability
- Large options of connections: choice of inlet/outlet sizes; and additional ports
providing sampling capabilities and insertion of sensors
- Improved traceability
Film Performance:
- The best barrier properties in the market place
- Very low level of extractables/ leachables
- The clearest film in the market place
Our biocontainers will be sold as part of a Pall Allegro™ single use system.
These systems will in many cases also involve Kleenpak™ connectors, filter
capsules or other Pall separation devices.
