PALL Mustang® XT5 Capsules
Pall is also pleased to announce the launch of the Pall Mustang® Q XT5 chromatography
capsules as a scaled-down companion to the Mustang® Q XT 5000 processscale
membrane chromatography capsules. The Pall Mustang® XT line has been designed
to simplify and reduce the operational requirements in the manufacture of biopolymers
from early development all the way through to process scale manufacturing. The micro
porous structure of Mustang® membranes, with convective flow pores, enable
fast and efficient mass transfer as feedstock flows directly through the pores,
without any diffusion flow restrictions. This leads to high dynamic binding capacities
and flow rates. Target applications:
- Capture of relatively large biomolecules, such as plasmid and viral vectors
- Polishing of feedstock in order to remove contaminants such as HCP, Virus, DNA and
endotoxin.
With Pall Mustang® Q XT5 chromatography capsules customers will be able to:
- Perform 1000 fold scale down development work with confidence of scalability
- Maximize process throughput by running at flow rates up to 30 times faster than
seen with chromatography columns
- Eliminate issues and costs associated with packing, cleaning and validating cleaning,
often associated with packed columns.
Additionally, customers may choose to dispose or re-use the device depending on
their process requirements.
